Located in the heart of Sydney’s Inner West, within minutes of public transport, local shopping precinct, primary and high schools, our Marrickville Early Learning Centre delivers an engaging, educational experience in a stimulating environment. Our Centre boasts 3 spacious rooms and a large outdoor play environment which includes a sandpit, vegetable garden, quiet space for reading and resources inspiring imaginative play and gross motor skill development. Our Centre respects the family-orientated nature of our community and is designed to ensure children can explore, learn and grow in a safe and nurturing space.
Hello and welcome! My name is Rachelle, and I am the Centre Manager at First Steps Learning Academy Marrickville.
I have dedicated over a decade to the Early Childhood sector, with most of my career focused on overseeing the day-to-day operations as a Centre Manager. In 2021, I welcomed a beautiful daughter into my family, which further deepened my commitment to providing a warm, inclusive environment where all children are given equal opportunities to thrive.
As educators, we have the privilege of guiding children through some of the most significant developmental milestones of their lives. I strive to create a space where children feel supported and are encouraged to learn and grow, all while providing families with a service they can trust for consistent, high-quality care. I am passionate about fostering strong, meaningful relationships and ensuring that every child experiences a welcoming environment where they are respected.
As a Centre Manager, I am committed to ensuring my team feels supported and valued. I believe it’s important to stay hands-on and engaged, so I can provide guidance whenever it’s needed.

Our curriculum aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework, emphasising children’s identity, connection with the world, well-being, confidence, and communication skills.
Our team of educators are passionate about creating engaging learning opportunities that spark curiosity and inspire a love of learning in each child. They take the time to observe and understand each child’s unique interests and abilities and tailor their teaching approach accordingly. Our educators also recognise the importance of open communication and collaboration with families, and they share regular updates and snapshots of the children’s activities and achievements throughout the day. By fostering positive relationships and providing individualised support, our educators play a vital role in creating a warm and welcoming environment where children can thrive.
Our School Readiness Program prepares children for their transition into primary school and beyond. The curriculum content gives equal importance to both educational and social/emotional learning and development. It aims to develop the skills, abilities, and characteristics which promote children’s ability to become successful learners. The learning that occurs while children attend the Preschool is carefully planned with the children’s needs and interests in mind.
Our early learning childcare centre in Marrickville is open from Monday to Friday from 7.30 am to 6 pm.
